Resort & Getting There
Assach is a typical, small Austrian alpine village. It’s a very quiet and picturesque village in the Ennstal valley, in the heart of the Dachstein Tauern Region. The village is within easy reach of many ski resorts including Hauser Kaibling (5 min away by car), Schladming Planai and Ramsau.The nearest large towns to our apartments are Schladming and Groebming, a ten minute drive away.There you’ll find many forms of entertainment and activities including internet-cafes, swimming pool, gym, cinema, bowling, mini-golf, bars and restaurants, etc.
Getting here by car:
Direction from Germany:
Take the Autobahn from Munich to Salzburg. Then follow directions for the Tauernautobahn (A10) until you reach the Ennstal Bundestrasse (B320). From there it’s about 20 km to Assach, following signs for Radstadt and then Schaldming. Assach is a ten-minute drive beyond Schladming in the direction of Graz.
An alternative route goes from Nuernberg via Regensburg and Passau until the Voralpenkreuz to Weiz. You can take the Pyhrnautobahn (A9) until Selzthal, then follow directions for Liezen and take the Bundestrasse (B320) to Assach.

Direction from Vienna or Graz:
From the east via Vienna take the (A23) and the Suedautobahn (A2) via the Semmering (S6) until St. Michael. From there follow directions for the Pyhrnautobahn (A9) until you get to Liezen and onto the Ennstal Bundestrasse (B320). Head for Groebming and Pruggern until the turning for Assach. Drivethrough the village past the church-take first turning right after Gasthof Koller and turn right again into our Apartment Assach 70.
Getting here by train:
Trains leave regularly for Schladming or Groebming from Salzburg, Vienna, Graz and Munich. Busses and taxies can be taken from local train stations. You can find a train timetable here:
